Cambodia-why this dictator Hun Sen has a bad tasted?and how?most dictators or authoritarian leaders have awful taste.Many of us think we know why it is.u all sure u have seen it in the last 40+years oppressive,fake columns,excessive usage ot the Yellow color"DON'T FOOL US-IT IS NOT GOLD,"ornaments from the renaissance or whatever n.Vietnam polished it as their puppet govm't since the first day of n.Vietnam occupied of Cambodia in 1975-1979-1993 and present,it is cool to put them everywhere.Let's not forget the China/Viet endorsed Hun Sen as their puppet dictator+taint food that both to replicate the"CLASSIC"interior to attractive buyers.U got the picture,why it is so with dictator?why do they've such an awful taste?well,there're reason for that.Hun Sen dictator have limited HUMAN resources,architecture is connected to human history and technology that is available on the market.In the beginning,we only had manual labor and every basic tools that were used to create all of the architectural masterpiece of the past.We also had very limited materials that could be used in construction.The building,process was very slow and could take centuries where generations would work on a building.Why dictator wants castle or biggest houses anyway?.People that have a dictator's taste usually come from POOR or very poor families.When there're too many pple in your family and everybody is living in tight conditions u develop a dream that one day u will live in a big house"even in a palace or castle".It's easier to understand that logic completely since didn't have much personal space in our life.But,when i grew up in small town and calculated of the expenses associated with a large home like the heating bill,renovation or construction costs and basic maintenance like cleaning it found out that it's just not worth.Too much time,and money will be wasted with a large apartment or a house.With dictator,it's a little different.Poor living conditions in the PAST and a POOR education don't allow the person to think in practical terms,especially when they've monopoly on power in the country.Power is blessed with unlimited power and poor childhood combined create these hideous MONSTER that dictator"HS" calls home sweet home and peace.Most dictators unhealthy self-esteem,dictators can have a crazy self-esteem in the first place.Thinking of themselves as extremely special,unique,power,fame,money,no one is ABOVE HIM and smart they can demand"appropriate"interior,or a big house.Corruption and Nepotism making thing worse,ok,we've a tiny dictator.He has all power he needs,his fellow colleague"WORSHIP HIM AND U THE PPLE"simply adore him.
